~The Basics~
Name: Rhiannon Elphame (Elf Queen)
Nicknames: Little Princess, brat.
Gender: Female
Age: 16
~The Miscellany~
Family: estranged parents, grandparents.
Canon: Thomas the Rhymer
~The Big Stuff~
Appearance: Rhiannon is a beautiful girl, she has a very fae look and a slightly ethereal quality about her, and she knows how to highlight that and use it to her advantage. She takes very good care of her appearance, knowing that her long blonde hair, slim physique and big blue eyes can help her get her what she wants - and if that can't, well, a low cut top and a flutter of those eyelashes might just do the trick. She dresses to impress, and that includes dressing appropriate to the situation, because wearing the wrong thing makes you look like an idiot. If she does it by accident, however, she'll always exude confidence, and simply pretend she meant to do it all along.
Personality: Rhiannon is, quite simply, a brat. She doesn't expect to have to do anything for herself, and considers herself entitled to, well, whatever she wants - she's incredibly spoilt. It doesn't mean she can't be nice, as long as you don't mind her innate arrogance, and sometimes she can seem quite charming and seductive, but only when she wants something. It might last a little longer if she thinks someone is useful and wants to keep them on her good side, but as soon as they don't deliver or annoy her, she drops them like a hot potato.
Don't think that just because she's a spoilt rich kid that she's stupid, though, because behind that bratty facade is a sharp, calculating mind.
History: Rhiannon was not quite born to the wealth and privilege everybody assumes from her attitude, her parents were actually somewhat neglectful, her mother had run away from home and hooked up with a young man from the 'wrong side of the tracks' and they lived in a bedsit, barely paying any attention to the child they hadn't intended to have.
It didn't last long, like a fairy godmother, Rhiannon's grandmother arrived with a host of Child Services at her back and took Rhiannon to live with her when she was just four, and that's where the wealth and privilege came in.
You might think that having seen what it was like on the other side, the young girl would appreciate the riches and not let them go to her head, but she seemed to think of it more like she was at last recieving her due. Like a princess finally coming home.
Oh, occasionally she will talk as if the poverty she began in somehow shaped and influenced her, but that's usually just to get a little sympathy, or whatever else she might want.
She grew up feeling there was more to life, just like the fairy stories she coloured her childhood with, she was waiting for something magical to happen, just knowing, somehow, that she was not all she seemed.
Just three days after her sixteenth birthday, she was out riding her brand new horse when she got lost. Following her instincts, she rode into the Town.
~The Final Touches~
RP Sample: The place appeared to be deserted, Rhiannon had no idea what had drawn her here, it was a total dump.
Dismounting from her horse, she looked for signs of life. At first she found nothing, but the further into the centre she got, the more she started to notice. This place, however abandoned-seeming and run-down, was apparently occupied, people were actually living here!
"Who's in charge here?" She demanded bluntly from a passerby when she finally spotted one, too impatient to remember that one caught more flies with honey than with vineger, and feeling as though she had been called here for a reason. She was important.
Clearly, this peasant did not seem to realise it, because the look she got was not exactly filled with respect.
"I won't ask again." She said impatiently. "Take me to your leader."
She regretted it as soon as she'd said it.
Have you read the rules: Can't keep a good myth down
Anything you'd like to add: She's also the same character, pretty much, from Tam Lin and other tales of an elf queen.
