Just like every other day of the year, Sephie felt a little contradicted. On the one hand, this place felt the most like home she had ever been. There was something correct about this place, something about it that felt a bit...meant to be? She knew that she had made the right choice in coming here.
But, at the same time, this place was totally strange. It was small and a little backward and broken down. She felt weird and out of sync with the place around her and, while this was not an entirely unusual feeling, it was something that she was hoping not to experience at this place - the place of her dreams.
She had settled into the Town with fair ease and, while she had seen the occasional person, she hadn't really interacted. What was she supposed to do - go over and ask if everyone had those dreams? Maybe during another time of the year she could go over to these strangers and ask 'Hey, what's up? Did you have crazy little thoughts about coming here for years and years and years?' but today was not one of those days.
She entered the common room, which was empty at the moment, and sighed gently. That was a bit of a relief. She walked over to the bookshelf and started to go through the titles.
